Walk through the core flow from scratch
Open the product in a clean browser, create a new account if needed and complete the main task. Avoid prepared data. An empty state often reveals what is missing for a clear start.
Try to break the usual flow
Submit a form twice, reload halfway through an action and temporarily disconnect the network. The user should understand whether the operation finished and what to do next. Do not show success until the server confirms the save.
Check a phone and a keyboard
Every core action should work on a narrow screen. Check text wrapping, button visibility with the on-screen keyboard open and focus order. Field labels and clear errors help everyone, including people who use screen readers.
Prepare a recovery path
Check backups and try restoring data in a separate environment. Document where to find errors and how to return to the previous version. A backup you have never restored offers little confidence.
Give people a clear way to report problems. The first release is the start of observing your product, not the end of the work.
From idea to first version.
